What we share.
The main things we share include:
- Purchase records. When you buy on our website, our server sends Meta a hashed (SHA-256) copy of your email address and name, the order value, and Meta's click and browser identifiers if your browser has them. For a printed book order it also sends a hashed phone number, network details such as an IP address and browser type, and order details such as the order ID, quantity, and shipping country. Unless you opt out, Google Analytics gets the transaction ID, amount, and product under your browser's analytics identifier, but not your email address or name.
- Browser tags. On our website, unless you opt out, the Google and Meta tags in your browser see which pages you visit.
We send no signup or conversation events to Google or Meta, and the Fablr iPhone and iPad app does no ad tracking at all.
California law may treat this as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. Opting out never changes your price or your service. An opt-out covers records we create after you make it; a checkout already in progress, or a record already waiting to be sent, may still go out.
How to opt out.
1. Decline in this browser
Purchases you start from this browser afterwards send no purchase record, and we stop recording ad click identifiers from it, except a cashback or loyalty visit you start on purpose (see Section ii.7 of our Privacy Policy). If you are signed in, we also note it on your account. For an opt-out that holds on every device, use option 3. To undo it in this browser, clear this site's cookies; if you were signed in, also email [email protected] to turn sharing back on for your account.
2. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline for that browser. It applies in the browser that sends it, so it does not cover your other browsers or devices. For an opt-out that holds across your account, use option 3.
3. Opt out for your account
Email [email protected] from your account's email address, or use our privacy rights request form, and ask to opt out of sharing. We switch it off for your account on every device.
The full details are in Section v. of our Privacy Policy.
