Fablr records and archives the audio of your voice when you choose to use subject-owned interview or private storyteller recording sessions.
Biometric notice: Some state biometric privacy laws treat recorded human voice as a voiceprint, biometric identifier, or biometric information even when Fablr does not use voice-matching technology.
Purpose: Fablr uses your voice recording to provide your private Fablr recording service for storyteller links and the Fablr recording service for account-owned sessions. The recording powers the live conversation, lets Fablr transcribe your stories, helps draft your chapters, and preserves the original audio in your private Audio Archive so you and people you authorize can listen to it later.
Retention: Fablr keeps voice recordings for the life of your active account, but never longer than three years after your last interaction with Fablr. At least 30 days before a three-year inactivity purge, Fablr will email account holders a notice.
Destruction: When you delete recordings, close your account, withdraw storyteller consent, or reach the three-year inactivity limit, Fablr destroys audio from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
Withdrawal and no sale: You can withdraw consent in Privacy Settings or, for a private storyteller link, by contacting [email protected]. Withdrawing consent stops future recording. You can separately delete existing voice recordings. Fablr will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your voice recordings or biometric information.
No training: Fablr will not let vendors train models on your voice recordings.
If a child under 13 is audible in your recording: Fablr is for adult storytellers. If a child under 13 is recorded by accident -- for example, a child walks into the room while you're recording -- please tell us within 30 days using the Report a child voice link in your privacy settings, or by emailing [email protected]. We'll delete the affected recording, at no charge, within 7 days of your request. We do not use children's voices for any AI training or processing.

You can withdraw biometric consent in Privacy Settings. Withdrawing consent stops future recording. You can also delete existing voice recordings from Privacy Settings or by contacting us.
